Wie Thalia heute auf Facebook mitteilt, wird es nach dem Verkaufsstart des OYO II eine neue Firmware für den OYO I geben.
Mit dem Update soll wieder ein Energiesparmodus eingeführt werden, der eine bessere Akkuleistung ermöglichen soll.
Ausserdem soll das Design der Oberfläche geändert werden und es möglich sein eigene Ordnerstrukturen anzulegen.
Das Designs der Bedienöberfläche wird wohl an die des OYO II angepasst um eine einheitliche Bedienerführung zu ermöglichen.

Wie auf dem vorab von Thalia veröffentlichten Produktfoto des OYO II zu sehen ist, wird das Design der Bedienoberfläche moderner und übersichtlicher daherkommen.

in the meanwhile, I tried CyBook Opus, and it’s much faster, much more reliable, and it supports a dozen of languages in GUI. Also all international fonts are fine….

you’re right, there are some much better readers out there.
I have a Sony PRS-505 and it’s display is brighter and has more contrast.
On the other hand the OYO is more portable than the “big” Sony.
The CyBook Opus is a interesting reader with good technical data. Maybe your tip is interesting for others interested in a e-book reader.

I own an Bookeen Cybook Opus. Technically being a good product I have to say that there firmware development i not being continued by Bookeen which is a pity because opus’ pdf support is very poor.
OYO firmware update is still not available…
So now that I have both the OYO and Cybook Orizon, I can surely say that Orizon is by far more superior. Even the older Opus, although smaller and no-touchscreen, no-wifi, was far better that the OYO….
Alexander — the Orizon does not re-flow PDF either. but it does everything else perfectly
